Dad, i know i dont treat you the way I should most of the time. I take you for granted. You’ve done so much for me. I know that when there’s certain things you don’t want me doing, its only for my own good. Do you remember that one time when you were in the process of getting your masters degree at UC Davis and at the same time working full time at the post office in san Francisco? I was about 8 or 9 at the time. One day I was playing with the stapler at home and wondered what it was like to staple my finger. And so I stapled my finger lol. Of course it hurt so bad to the point where I didn’t even wanna take it out myself. I called you and you told me to stay calm cause you were gonna take it out. Knowing you hadn’t gotten any sleep, and that you were all the way in san Francisco and that you were willing to drive all the way out to Hercules just to take a staple out my finger was one of the sweetest things anyone’s ever done for me. Dad, to this day you’re working so hard. I know I’ve disappointed you one too many times. I’m sorry I couldn’t fulfill your dreams as becoming an electrical engineer just like you. The moment I told you I wanted to be a nurse, I saw in your eyes how disappointed you were in me. 3 years of college all gone to waste, I know. But because you’re still supporting me and working hard, working 2 jobs and only getting a couple hours of sleep, just so I can fulfill my dreams, daddy…I love you for it. I’ll always be your “little princess”. I got the tattoo to prove it. It’s on my back cause I know that no matter what, you’ll always be watching over my back. Daddy, I love you so much
